Brick

I watched this on DVD the other day, and it only reminded me of how much I liked it when I saw it in the theatre.

Everything about this movie is well-executed and utterly genius. It combines film noir and a high school setting, a pretty clever idea, I think. The movie is well-paced. There were no slow parts where you waited for it to pick up, but at the same time, it wasn't so fast-paced that you couldn't figure out what was going on. It was a fairly complicated plot, but easy to follow with the way everything was set up.

The actors and the dialogue were great, despite all of it being very unrealistic for high school students.

I highly recommend this.

5/5

Purpose of this Journal

I haven't put a single thing in this journal yet.....I kind of forgot about it....

I was helping Daire with his homework earlier–-an essay about movies. And I thought to myself.....why not make this a journal dedicated entirely to movies?

And books.....maybe books.

So from now on, all I will post here is stuff about movies and books. I know, I know.....

"omg my opinion matters so much..."

But I'll have fun with it. And that's all that matters.
